What is Ring Main Earthing

 Ring Main Earthing::-

  Two or more circuit simultaneously connected closely each other  this circuit is called Ring circuit.

In Electricity design a Two or more Earthing closely connected each other like a ring this Earthing system  is called Ring Main Earthing.

 Description::-

  The ring ckt acts like two radial circuit proceeding in opposite direction around the ring, this dividing point between them dependent on this number of flow of electrons in the ring. Day by day earth system 

is develop,ring circuit are commonly use in British Standard Rules,it is commonly use United Kingdom,United Arab,India,Hong kong etc.This design enable to use smaller diameter Earth Strip or Cable.

Two Earth Ring, like one earthing value is 3 ohm & other earthing value is 1 ohm, two Earth connected 

each other ring main, supposed both ends value is 1 ohm, even if fault occurred any section there are no

earth value is reduce in the ring.

       History & Use::-                                                                                                                                 
          This circuit are developed in Britan during  1942-1947. The electrical Installation
committee  was convended  in 1942 as part of the post was building  studies programme ,
determined the ring circuit offered a more efficient ab low cost system and important thing
     is more and more safety.                                                                                                      
 1.This system is use Substation (Indoor & Outdoor) Panel, Transformer etc, and essential
use is Transformer Neutral connection.                                                            
 2.This system is use Building Lightening Arrester  system.

    Most advantage  of this system is that in the event of fault occurred any section of the Ring
 then Uninterrupted Earth supply.                                                                                                  

 Disadvantage::-                                                                                                                               

If one Earth fault or low Resistance, this fault Earthing find is more difficult.
